Johnny Thunders was born John Anthony Genzale Jr. on July 15, 1952, in Queens, New York City. He was an American musician who was best known as the lead guitarist and singer of the punk rock band, the New York Dolls, and as the leader of Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers.
