Important Features
We will now take a close look at some of our favorite features found on the Jasmine S34C. We will also take a look at a few issues that we noticed a little bit later on.
Price
The biggest selling point here is definitely going to be the price. In fact, his guitar is about as affordable as you can reasonably expect to get.
While we won’t list a specific price here (simply because they are subject to change) it is safe to say that this instrument will suit most budgets.
Of course, low prices do correlate with limited features. This definitely isn’t a concert-quality guitar. It’s a learner’s instrument. If you are buying for someone who is just getting started with this instrument, the S34C will be one to consider. Otherwise, you might want to think about looking for something else.
Ergonomic
One of the nice things about this guitar is that it is made to naturally fit your body. This means that you will be a little bit more comfortable as you use it.
The shape of the instrument and the strap connection locations are what facilitate this feature. All things considered, this is a fairly small feature, but it will make a difference. This is especially true when it comes to longer practice sessions.
The comfortable design is going to make the Jasmine S34C easy to use over long periods of time. Who doesn’t want that, right?
Attractive Design
Jasmine definitely celebrates a classic look here. The soft, smooth, blonde satin finish embodies the look you expect from a classic acoustic guitar.
There are a few different materials at work here. However, the primary element is rosewood, which is implemented throughout the design.
The manufacturer says that this material, as well as the way that it is implemented, does several things. Namely, it makes the guitar play better, while being very solid.
That may or may not be true. As to the matter of quality—the design certainly is what gives the guitar its sound. However, appraisals of the sound quality do come with an asterisk. It sounds good for the price tag,but does suffer a little bit relative to many guitars on the market.
As far as durability is concerned, there is even les to be desired. We will take a closer look at the matter a little bit later. For now though, it is safe to say that there are some sturdiness problems here. Now, all of that said, the Jasmine S34C does look good, which is always nice to see.
Issues
Let’s now take a look at a few aspects of this guitar that we weren’t extremely thrilled with. One of the first things that we noticed was that the hardware was a little bit flimsy.
This was especially true of the turning pegs. We found that they were pretty loose, and the overall quality leaves quite a bit to be desired. Of course, this component of the guitar can be replaced. However, Most people don’t want to have to do that. Especially not with a brand new guitar.
Flimsiness is actually an overall issue with the instrument. We also found that the laminate is a little bit on the cheap side. It peels and scratches very easily, which means it will start looking shabby very soon.
These durability problems also create concern for the overall longevity of the instrument.
This may not be a guitar that you have for many years. Given its price tag though, the loss will be a little bit more palatable. If you are looking for a long-term guitar, this isn’t going o be for you.
However, if you are just starting out, and don’ want to risk a lot of money, the Jasmine S34C might be something to think about.
Last, it is also worth mentioning that the sound quality is not the best. This, of course, is almost to be expected. High quality sound ultimately is going to cost a decent chunk of money.
If you are going in hoping for a concert quality guitar you will be disappointed. However, if you can reserve your expectations a little bit, you should wind up happy.
There is no question that this is a beginner’s guitar, which means it has natural limitations.
