Wireless technology is now an integral part of many people’s lives. In fact, it’s hard to imagine a time when everything used a cable.
Over time, there are many benefits when it comes to using wireless earbuds instead of wired ones. They are likely to last longer since there less moving parts; plus, if the company that produces the wireless earbuds you use offers repair services, then that gives them even more longevity than their wired cousins.
The thing about Bluetooth pairing is…
…that the process may differ from brand to brand and even from model to model. There are, of course, many similarities, but the little differences are still enough to confuse some users.
TOZO earbuds have been well received, and there are enough options to suit any wallet. That’s why I’ve decided to take a look at how to pair TOZO earbuds with any device. Whether you are using a macOS, Windows, Android, or iOS device, you’ll be covered. So, let’s get started.
Putting TOZO Earbuds into Pairing Mode
The TOZO wireless earbuds, like many other brands, automatically get turned on and put into pairing mode when you take them out of the charging case.
Furthermore, if you previously paired the earbuds to another source device, then they will automatically connect to that device when you take them out of the charging case. To avoid this, you’ll need to turn off the Bluetooth on the source device.
Pairing TOZO Earbuds with a Workstation
Lots of users earn their living by spending long hours in front of a computer or laptop these days. Having some music or a nice podcast to listen to can help make that work easier. Fortunately, pairing TOZO earbuds to any computer with Bluetooth shouldn’t be a problem.
However, there have been some issues noted with Windows 11. The TOZO T6 and T10 are two models which have been particularly criticized for having problems with Windows 11.
Pairing TOZO Earbuds With a Windows Computer
To pair TOZO earbuds with a Windows PC or laptop, simply start by putting both devices into pairing mode. The TOZO earbuds will automatically turn on and go into pairing mode when you take them out of the case.
On your Windows machine…
Activate the Bluetooth by going to the “Bluetooth and Other Devices” page. You can reach this menu by clicking on the Windows icon to open the start menu. Then, type “Bluetooth” in the search bar, and you will be greeted with the “Bluetooth and Other Devices” result. Click on it to open the menu.
Alternatively, you can right-click on the Bluetooth icon in the system tray on the taskbar and then click on “go to settings.” Make sure the Bluetooth toggle is in the ‘on’ position.
Right below the Bluetooth toggle will be a plus icon with “Add New device” next to it. Click on this to open and then select Bluetooth from the list. A list of available Bluetooth devices will appear in the window; select your TOZO wireless earbuds from this list to initiate the pairing process.
Pairing TOZO Earbuds With a macOS Computer
The process for pairing TOZO earbuds to a macOS computer is similar to the process for Windows PC or Laptop. Only finding the Bluetooth settings on a Mac is a bit different, though.
You can go there by selecting “System Preferences.” Click on the Apple icon on the menu bar at the top of the screen, and then navigate to “Bluetooth.”
You can also select the Bluetooth icon from the Menu bar if you have this setting enabled. If you’d like to enable it, you can do so from the Bluetooth section of the System Preferences.
In the Bluetooth menu…
Make sure that the Bluetooth toggle is in the ‘on’ position. Take your TOZO earbuds out of the charging case and wait for them to pop up on the list of available devices. Click on the “connect” button. The pairing process should take no more than a minute.
This article is about how to pair TOZO earbuds with any device, so let’s look at mobile devices now. As you might expect, pairing TOZO earbuds to a mobile device is just as simple as PCs and laptops.
Pairing TOZO Earbuds to Android Devices
Start by making sure that Bluetooth is activated on the Android device. You can do this by simply swiping down from the top of the screen and tapping on the Bluetooth icon. You will know Bluetooth is activated when the Bluetooth icon is displayed next to battery life and signal indicators.
The next thing you’ll want to do is open the Bluetooth menu. You can do this by tapping and holding the Bluetooth icon on the “top-down” swipe menu.
You can also reach the Bluetooth settings by opening the settings app “gear icon” and navigating to the Bluetooth menu. It is usually a sub-menu of the “Connections” category.
Below the Bluetooth connection toggle…
You’ll find a list of available and already paired devices. Take your TOZO earbuds out of the charging case to engage pairing mode and select them from the list when they pop up.
Pairing TOZO Earbuds to an iOS Device
Activate the Bluetooth on your iOS device by tapping the Bluetooth widget on your home screen. Alternatively, you can navigate to Bluetooth from the settings app (gear icon). You can also reach the Bluetooth menu by tapping and holding the Bluetooth icon in the control panel.
In the Bluetooth menu, simply switch the toggle to the ‘on’ position to activate the device’s Bluetooth.
Take both your TOZO earbuds out of the charging case and then tap on their name when it appears in the list of available Bluetooth devices. The pairing process will take no more than a few moments.
TOZO Earbuds are Connected, But There is No Sound
There are a few reasons why you might not have any sound despite your TOZOs being connected to your source device.
Most likely, the volume is turned down, or your source device deactivated media sounds in favor of phone calls and message tones.
There might also be a driver issue that is causing incompatibility issues between your TOZO wireless earbuds and the source device.
Troubleshooting Bluetooth on Windows Computers
As mentioned, many users have reported pairing issues with TOZO earbuds and Windows 11 computers.
The engineers over at Microsoft insist that the problem is not with their OS. However, a plethora of TOZO users said that their earbuds worked fine until they upgraded their machines from Windows 10 to 11.
If you have a Windows 11 machine, you might want to consider alternative hardware since Microsoft has expressed no intention to look into this issue any further.
If you are on any other Windows machine…
You can start by running the troubleshooter. Open the troubleshooter by opening the start menu and typing “Fix Problems with playing sound” in the search bar. Select your TOZO wireless earbuds from the list of devices and see if the troubleshooter can fix your problem.
Some users have reported that when they run the troubleshooter on Windows 11, the TOZO earbuds don’t even show up on the list of available devices.
Troubleshooting on macOS Devices
Typically, if there is no sound from your TOZO earbuds when connected to a macOS device, it’s because the wrong device is selected.
Simply navigate to the Bluetooth settings and make sure that the currently connected device is your TOZO wireless earbuds. Next, go to Sound Settings and make sure that your TOZOs are activated.
If all else fails, simply go to the Bluetooth settings and forget the TOZO earbuds. Then, try re-pairing them to see if the problem is fixed.
Troubleshooting on Android Devices
Android devices often deactivate the media sound when using Bluetooth. Simply press the volume up or down button and then tap on the three dots that appear right above the speaker icon on the right-hand side of the screen. Make sure that the “Media sounds” slider is turned up.
