Now that we have the broad strokes, let’s look at each of these steps in turn.
Put Jabra Earbuds, Headset, or Headphones in Pairing Mode
When it comes to placing the Jabra device into pairing mode, there are several ways this can be done depending on the model you have. Let’s take a look.
Jabra Headphones & Earbuds with a Multi-function Button
(models: Elite Active 75t, Elite 75t, Elite 65t, Elite Active 65t, Elite Sport, Evolve 65t, Elite Active 45e, and Sport Pace)
Start with your Jabra devices powered off. Press and hold the multi-function button for three to five seconds until the LED indicator begins to flash; this indicates that the device is in pairing mode. There will also be an audio prompt announcing that the device is now in pairing mode.
If you are trying to pair Jabra earbuds, take both earbuds out of the charging case and hold down the multi-function button on the right earbud. The flashing LED, and an audio prompt will let you know that you are now in pairing mode.
Mono Headsets without a Charging Case
(models: Talk 5, Talk 15, Talk 25, Talk 30, Talk 35, and Talk 45)
Start with the device powered off. Slide the power switch to the on position to turn on the device. Hold down the talk button for three seconds until the LED flashes. There is also an audio prompt to announce that the device is in pairing mode.
Mono Headsets with a Charging Case
(model: Talk 55)
Start by making sure that the charging case has at least a 15% charge in the battery. Dock your Talk 55 headset on the charging case and hold down the battery status button for three seconds. The blue flashing LED indicates that the headset is now in pairing mode.
Find Your Jabra Headphones, Earbuds, and Headset on Your Source Device
The process of pairing Jabra headphones with a source device will be broadly the same. But, there might be some small differences. Let’s look at each one.
Android
Start by opening the settings app and navigating to the Bluetooth section, and slide the Bluetooth toggle to the active position.
Make sure that your Jabra device is within range and in pairing mode. Return to the available devices on your Android device; when the Jabra device pops up, tap on it to start pairing.
iPhone
Open the settings app on your iPhone and navigate to Bluetooth. Place the toggle in the active position and make sure that your Jabra device is within range. When the Jabra device pops up under the “other devices” list, tap on it to start the pairing process.
macOS
Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner and select system preferences, then tap on Bluetooth. Make sure your Jabra device is in range and click on it when it shows on the list of available devices.
Windows 10
Open the Start menu by clicking on the Windows icon on the taskbar or by pressing the Windows shortcut key. Click on the gear icon to open Settings. Click on devices, and you will be directed to the Bluetooth settings page. Make sure the Bluetooth toggle is in the on position.
Alternatively, you can open the system tray by clicking the notification button on the right side of the taskbar, right-clicking on the Bluetooth icon, and selecting “go to settings.”
Click on “Add Bluetooth or another device” and make sure the Jabra device is within pairing range. When the device pops up on the list, click on it to engage pairing.
Confirm Successful Pairing
In most cases, your Jabra device will have a blinking LED indicator while it’s in pairing mode. When the LED stops blinking, the Bluetooth connection is successful.
Also, many of the models have Audio prompts to indicate successful connections. The best test, though, is to start playing some audio and checking that it comes through the Jabra device.
Troubleshoot Your Bluetooth Connection
Still having trouble pairing your Jabra headset, headphones, or earbuds to your source device despite having followed these steps?
Well, then try clearing all previously paired devices from your source device and then re-pair your Jabra device. Additionally, you can consult the owner’s manual of your device for further instructions.
